Tanya Burr Individual Lashes

I’m a big fan of Tanya Burr and when she came out last year with her lip gloss and nail varnish I was all over them like a rash. I love seeing other bloggers branch with new ventures like this but all the while still staying true to themselves and not selling out.

After a successful launch of her lip gloss and nail varnishes Tanya launched her own range of lashes. I don’t always wear lashes but when I do I love really fluttery ones that look natural while at the same time giving you volume and depth. I ordered some of her individual lashes and gave them a go the other week. I ordered mine off Feel Unique, I accidently ordered 2 packs, which where €6.32 each.

In the pack they come with clear glue and 3 different sized lashes – long, medium and short.
I usually use Duo glue to apply any of my lashes, it’s a handy one to have in your collection but it smells like rotten fish, it’s revolting. Luckily the glue in the pack has no obnoxious smell and actually works really well. It is clear liquid glue and I used the little stick to pop a little onto the back of my hand. I have sensitive eyes so I was a little apprehensive to put anything new near my eyes but they didn’t sting or agitate them in anyway. I used all 3 sizes which gave me the look I wanted.

I prefer to use individual lashes then the strips, I always find that after a few hours into my nights out that the strips will start to come away and with individual lashes you can build them up to get perfect look for you want, also if one pops off your look won’t look completely ruined.

So here’s the 411:

- They’re long lasting
-Reusable
-The glue is fast drying
-They’re suitable for sensitive eyes
-They aren’t badly priced

So with all that said will I buy them again?? If I’m honest I probably won’t. I’m used to my Ardell Individual lashes and they have a slightly better quality, they look that little bit more natural than the Tanya Burr lashes, hers are slightly plastic looking.

I do like them and I will use the ones I have but Ardell have stolen my heart. I will however be buying more of her Lip Glosses and Nail Varnishes, in fact I already have and I can’t fault her on them one bit.
Have you tried her strip lashes? Do you think they sound like the same quality?? Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading.

Review | Tanya Burr Lip Collection

I promised this post a few weeks ago but better late than never!
Tanya released her lip and nail collection in February and they have been a huge success so far and just this week they were launched into all Superdrug stores.

There are 12 glosses to choose from in the collection:

Smile, Dream, Sparkle
Champagne Toast
First Date
Just Peachy
Afternoon Tea
Chic
Picnic In The Park
Aurora
Exotic Island
Let's Travel The World
 Heart Skipped A Beat
Vampire Kiss

I've only bought 3 but now that they are in stores I might buy a few more especially as it's always a lot harder to judge a product when you’re buying online. I chose Picnic in the Park, Champagne Toast and Vampire Kiss.

All of three of the glosses I bought smell just like strawberry Petits Filous so I presume the rest of the collection will too.

Because I have super red lips naturally Champagne Toast goes on my lips almost like a sheer gloss. It's not like me at all to get any type of nude colours so this was a step out of my comfort zone, but I was happy with the result, probably because my natural lip colour came through.

I love Vampire Kiss, it's my favourite kind of red. It’s a darker tone of red which I love and can be put on lightly or built on to your lips to make them even darker.

Anyone who has bought Tanya's lip glosses most likely has Picnic In the Park in their makeup bags. It's a baby pink and the smell of strawberries really pop with this one. In a lot of Tanya's videos she wears this one so I think this is one of her favourites. Just like Vampire Kiss I chose this colour to match with the nail varnish I bought.

I call these glosses but they aren’t as tacky as most glosses and they feel more like a cream lipstick. They do last a good while and really only disappear when your munching on something.

The colour pay off on Vampire Kiss and Picnic in the Park are amazing for glosses and not sheer at all. I don’t really like sheer glosses, that said I do love the Champagne toast.

So try them out for yourself at your local Superdrug, you can also buy them on Cloud10 Beauty.

Have a great day guys!!

Love Sarah xoxo

Reveiw | Tanya Burr Lip Gloss and Nails Part 1

I love watching Youtube for tutorials, hauls and to see what vloggers think of the latest products, so when I saw that one of my faves Tanya Burr had released her own range of lip glosses and nail polishes I knew I had to get them.
For this post i'm just going to write about the nail polishes. There are 10 polishes in total and each of them have their own unique names that Tanya chose herself.

Penguin Chic - a taupe like grey
Riding Hood - such a lovely pillar box red
Mini Marshmallows - a light baby pink
Peaches and cream - a peachy cream colour
Midnight Sparkles - a dark sparkly purple
Bright and Early - bubble-gum pink
Be Bright, Be Happy, Be You - a little hot pink
New York Night - a dark purple
Mischief Managed - a pinkie red
Little Duck - a pastel green

I bought my 3 on www.cloud10beauty.com, I chose Riding Hood, Midnight Sparkles and Be Bright, Be Happy, Be you. The quality of these polishes are really good, I paid €7.50 for each polish which I think is reasonable enough for what you get.

Be Bright, Be Beautiful, Be You and Riding Hood:

When I first put these colours on my nails I was blown away firstly by the shine and secondly from the coverage. Even from just one coat there was such a high coverage.

Be Bright, Be Beautiful, Be You
The shine is just amazing and the coverage is so thick it almost looks gel like. I really love a wet look nail so this really ticked the box for me.

Riding Hood

Midnight Sparkle

I don't think my photo does this polish any justice. In person it really is a sparkly purple, it reminds me of a supernova deep space colour. I tried to use my camera and my IPhone camera but this was the best shot I could get. There wasn't as much of a shine as the other two polishes and the sparkle disappeared a bit but i'm thinking if I put a lighter polish underneath maybe it will make it pop a bit more.
Midnight Sparkle
The varnishes promise to be chip resistant and they live up to that. I didn't put a top coat on my nails just to see how long they would last on their own and after a week there was only minimal chipping so I presume if I put a top coat on it will last for a good few days.
I love the packaging although I did have a hard time opening 2 of the polishes and had to get my dad to open them because i'm so weak.
Overall I do love them and if I see them in my local stores maybe I'll buy them, it's just a bit of effort to buy them online.

Enjoy your weekend girls and keep an eye out over the next few days for my review on Tanya's lip glosses.

Love Sarah xoxo
